In search of light

Depression tells you things that aren’t true. Depression lies to you and tells you that you are not worthy of the things you have and when things go wrong in your life that it is your fault. In a way, it makes you sound like a moody teenager. You try to remind yourself that this will go away. That this is only a phase and that things will get better. They really will.
They will.
I know this.
The fog will lift and I will see things for what they really are.
But right now, it’s dark. There are 100 things I could write about and I am holding tight to the good. Even good cannot trump the dark sometimes.
Just keep lighting candles and hope that eventually there will be enough to make light.
